Polycrystalline Diamond Cut Products

DiaPac™ Polycrystalline diamond is a versatile material with applications as varied as drilling for oil, machining aluminium and wood, and cutting stone or concrete. It is made up of micron sized diamond particles grown together under high temperatures and pressure with the aid of a sintering catalyst such as cobalt. This imparts properties such as mechanical strength, wear resistance and uniform, non-directional hardness. The presence of cobalt, a conductive metal, allows for the material to be cut with a wire electro-discharge machine (EDM). Surfaces can also be polished, shaped and sharpened using super-abrasives grinding wheels.

International Diamond Services offers a variety of standard products made from polycrystalline diamond. We can also manufacture custom parts to fit your application needs.
